WHAT IS SPE?

Gubkin University SPE Student Chapter is a student subdivision of the Society of Petroleum Engineer (SPE). SPE is the largest individual-member organization serving managers, engineers, scientists and other professionals worldwide in the upstream segment of the oil and gas industry. SPE offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the profession through its programs and activities.

SPE membership not only allows you to exchange specialized technical and technological knowledge about the exploration, development and production of oil and gas resources, but also to prove yourself

as an event organizer or volunteer, to improve your knowledge of English language, as well as communication and organizational skills.

Our mission as a student chapter at Gubkin University is to maintain the success and raise the standards of our students, society and department by executing a plan that seeks to fulfill SPE’s mission of developing technical knowledge and providing opportunities for students to enhance their technical and professional competence.

To collect, disseminate, and exchange technical knowledge concerning the exploration, development and production of oil and gas resources, and related technologies for the public benefit; and to provide opportunities for professionals to enhance their technical and professional competence.

VISION:

Enable the global oil and gas E&P industry to share technical knowledge needed to meet the world’s energy needs in a safe and environmentally responsible manner.

From 16 to 19 November the XIII International Youth Scientific and Practical Congress “Oil and Gas Horizons” was held at the National University of Oil and Gas “Gubkin University” in a hybrid format. INTERNATIONAL EDUCATIONAL SUMMER SCHOOL OF GUBKIN UNIVERSITY 2021

From 5 to 9 July 2021, the annual international educational summer school of Gubkin University was held for students and specialists of the oil and gas industry.   The Summer School included two areas: "Drilling and Well Construction" and "Sustainable Marine and Subsea Technologies".
