INTERNATIONAL EDUCATIONAL SUMMER SCHOOL OF GUBKIN UNIVERSITY 2021

From 5 to 9 July 2021, the annual international educational summer school of Gubkin University was held for students and specialists of the oil and gas industry.   The Summer School included two areas: "Drilling and Well Construction" and "Sustainable Marine and Subsea Technologies". As part of the "Sustainable Marine and Subsea Technologies" direction, aspects of environmental impact in connection with the production, supply and processing of petroleum products, new solutions to environmental problems in the oil and gas industry, modern technologies for offshore oil and gas operations were considered, as well as legal regulation and international cooperation in this area.   The direction was organized jointly with the University of Stavanger (Stavanger, Norway) with the support of the Norwegian Agency for International Cooperation and Improvement of the Quality of Higher Education (DIKU).   Head of direction: Professor of the Department of Development a...

XIII International Youth Scientific and Practical Congress “Oil and Gas Horizons”

From 16 to 19 November the XIII International Youth Scientific and Practical Congress “Oil and Gas Horizons” was held at the National University of Oil and Gas “Gubkin University” in a hybrid format. The Congress is organized annually by the Gubkin University Student Chapter of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE). This year, the Congress was attended 219 students, postgraduates and young professionals from 45 universities from 30 countries, including: Algeria, Azerbaijan, Belarus, China, Colombia, Egypt, Germany, India, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Lebanon, Libya, Mexico, Nigeria, Pakistan, Romania, Russia, Senegal, Serbia, Sudan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Venezuela, Vietnam and Yemen. The Congress “Oil and Gas Horizons” is the largest international platform for the exchange of knowledge and experience of oil and gas industry specialists from all over the world.
