International Educational Summer School of Gubkin University 2020: "Offshore Fields Development"

In the period from 27 to 31 July 2020, the International Educational Summer School of Gubkin University "Offshore Fields Development" was held online. More than 500 students from 142 universities and companies of 55 countries around the world have taken part in the event.


From 27 to 31 July 2020, the International Educational Summer School "Offshore Fields Development” was held for bachelors, masters, postgraduates, teachers and specialists of the oil and gas industry. Summer School is organized by Gubkin University in cooperation with the University of Stavanger (Stavanger, Norway) with the support of the Norwegian Agency for International Cooperation and Quality Enhancement in Higher Education (Diku). Director of the School: Professor of the Department of Oil Field Development and Operation at Gubkin University, Dr. Anatoly Zolotukhin.



Summer School lecturers were representatives of the Gubkin University, University of Stavanger (Stavanger, Norway), Joint Institute of High Temperatures of the Russian Academy of Sciences and representatives of the company “Oil Industry of Serbia”.


 

School classes were conducted on everyday basis in English, using the online format. More than 500 students have taken part in the event, 436 students successfully passed the final test and received certificates for successful completion of the school course.


 

Assistance in organization of the Summer School was provided by Gubkin University SPE Student Chapter and by the department of technical teaching aids of Gubkin University.
